"Problum" is a science fiction novel written by Alan Edward Nourse in 1957. The story follows the protagonist, Dr. John Dearborn, as he attempts to solve a complex problem that threatens the survival of humanity. Dearborn is a brilliant scientist who has been recruited by a secret organization known as "The Council" to find a solution to the problem, which is caused by an unknown entity that is manipulating the fabric of space and time. As Dearborn works to unravel the mystery, he discovers that the problem is much more complex than he initially thought, and that it may be connected to a larger conspiracy involving powerful forces beyond his control.
