Albert F. Calvert was born in 1867 in England. He was a prolific author and journalist, writing for a variety of publications including The Times, The Spectator, and The Daily Telegraph. He was also a noted historian, writing several books on the history of England and the British Empire. He was a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a member of the Royal Geographical Society. He died in 1945.
