The Tsarítsa Harpist

In a distant kingdom, a Tsar embarks on a journey to a land where he is captured by an Accursed King and imprisoned for three years. He sends a letter to his wife, the Tsarítsa, asking her to sell their possessions to rescue him. The Tsarítsa, fearing for her safety if she goes herself, disguises as a wandering musician and travels to the Accursed King's court. Upon arrival, she plays the gúsli beautifully, captivating the King, who invites her to stay. After three days of enchanting performances, she requests a prisoner as a companion, choosing her husband. They escape together, but the Tsar, unaware of the musician's true identity, offers to pay for his freedom. The musician declines, and they part ways. The Tsarítsa returns home first, disguising herself as an empress. When the Tsar arrives, he accuses her of infidelity for not rescuing him. The ministers reveal her absence during his imprisonment. In a twist, the Tsarítsa reveals her true identity by playing the gúsli again, leading to a joyful reunion. The Tsar celebrates her bravery and loyalty with a week-long feast.
