Sir Amyas Northcote (1864–1923) was a British diplomat and author. He was born in Devon, England, and educated at Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge. Northcote served in the British diplomatic service from 1887 to 1923, and was posted to various countries including Russia, Turkey, and the United States. He was knighted in 1912 for his services to the British Empire. In addition to his diplomatic career, Northcote was also a prolific author. He wrote several books on travel and exploration, including Through the Heart of Asia (1902), Across the Pamirs (1905), and The Land of the White Elephant (1909). He also wrote several novels, including The Red Cockade (1908) and The White Rajah (1911). Northcote died in 1923 in London.
