Antonio de Hoyos y Vinent (1845-1911) was a Spanish poet, playwright, and novelist. He was born in Madrid and studied law at the University of Madrid. He was a member of the literary circle of the Ateneo de Madrid, and was a friend of the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. He wrote several plays, including La hija del aire (1876), La hija del mar (1877), and La hija del cielo (1878). He also wrote several novels, including La hija de la luna (1880), La hija del sol (1881), and La hija de la estrella (1882). He was a prolific writer, and his works were widely read in Spain. He died in Madrid in 1911.
