Augusta Groner (1902-1995) was an American author and illustrator of children's books. She was born in New York City and attended the Pratt Institute. She wrote and illustrated over 30 books, including the popular "The Little Red Hen" and "The Three Bears". Her books were praised for their vivid illustrations and simple, yet engaging stories. Groner was also a successful commercial artist, creating illustrations for magazines, advertisements, and greeting cards. She was a member of the Society of Illustrators and the Authors Guild.
