Benjamin Olds (1790-1860) was an English poet and author. He was born in London and educated at the University of Cambridge. He was a prolific writer, publishing several books of poetry and prose, including Pretty Verses for All Good Children; In Words of One, Two, and Three Syllables (1836). He was also a popular lecturer, delivering lectures on a variety of topics, including literature, philosophy, and religion. He was a member of the Royal Society of Literature and the Society of Arts. He died in 1860 in London.
