Charles Pigault-Lebrun (1753–1835) was a French poet, playwright, and novelist. He was born in Paris and educated at the Collège de Navarre. He wrote several plays, including the tragedy La Mort de César (1793), which was performed at the Comédie-Française. He also wrote several novels, including the popular Les Amours de l'abbé de Choisy (1790). He was a member of the Académie française from 1811 until his death in 1835. He was also a member of the Institut de France and the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres.
