Christopher Langman

Christopher Langman (1660-1711) was an English author and historian. He was born in London and educated at Oxford University. He was a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and a member of the Royal Society. Langman wrote several books, including The True Account of the State of England (1711), which was a history of England from the Norman Conquest to the reign of Queen Anne. He also wrote a work on the history of the English Civil War, and a work on the history of the Church of England. He was a strong supporter of the Church of England and a defender of the monarchy. Langman was a prolific writer and his works were widely read in his day. He was highly respected by his contemporaries and his works are still studied today.
