Claude Askew (1868-1941) was an English author and journalist. He was born in London and educated at King's College, Cambridge. He wrote several novels, including Aylmer Vance and the Vampire (1900), The Mystery of the Four Fingers (1902), and The House of the Vampire (1903). He also wrote several short stories, including "The Curse of the Vampire" (1902) and "The Vampire's Bride" (1903). He was a regular contributor to The Strand Magazine and other periodicals. He died in 1941 in London.
