Da Chen is a Chinese-American author and journalist. He was born in Fujian Province, China, and immigrated to the United States at the age of nine. He is the author of several books, including the memoirs Colors of the Mountain and Brothers, and the novels Sound of the River and China's Son. He has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. He is a graduate of Columbia University and currently lives in New York City.
