A little rabbit named Jack embarks on an adventure when he meets his friend, the Jay Bird, who offers him a ride in his airship. After finishing his task of cleaning a gold watch, Jack joins the Jay Bird, and they soar over the Sunny Meadow, treetops, and towns. As they fly, Jack expresses concern about returning home in time for supper. Their journey takes a turn when they encounter the American Eagle, who invites them to his high mountain nest. Intrigued, they follow him and meet his eaglets. In a generous gesture, Jack gifts each eaglet a War Saving Stamp from his knapsack. The Eagles reciprocate with a feast of ice cream cones. After enjoying their time together, the Jay Bird informs Jack that it’s time to return home. As they fly back, Jack’s mother, Mrs. Rabbit, spots them and rings the supper bell, signaling their return. The story concludes with a reminder of the comfort and love found at home, emphasizing the importance of family and friendship.
