David Wendel Yandell is a writer, editor, and publisher. He is the author of several books, including The Art of Writing: A Guide to Crafting Fiction and Nonfiction, The Art of Editing: A Guide to Crafting Prose, and The Art of Publishing: A Guide to the Business of Books. He has also written and edited numerous articles and essays for magazines, newspapers, and websites. Yandell has been a professional writer and editor for more than twenty years. He has worked for a variety of publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic. He has also served as an editor for several book publishers, including HarperCollins, Random House, and Penguin. Yandell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
