Psalms by David (-1900)

The Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poems or songs in the Bible. It is the third section of the Hebrew Bible, and a work of the Christian Old Testament. The Psalms are traditionally ascribed to King David, although many were composed by other authors. The Psalms are divided into five books, each with its own theme. The first book is a collection of thanksgiving and praise to God. The second book is a collection of laments and pleas for help. The third book is a collection of hymns of praise and worship. The fourth book is a collection of songs of trust and confidence in God. The fifth book is a collection of songs of praise and thanksgiving to God. The Psalms are filled with powerful imagery and emotion. They express a wide range of human emotions, from joy and celebration to sorrow and despair. They are often used in worship services, and are a source of comfort and strength for many people.
