Don Delaney was an Australian author and journalist who wrote several books about the history of Australia and its people. He was born in 1876 in Sydney, Australia, and was educated at the University of Sydney. He worked as a journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald and the Sydney Sun, and wrote several books about the history of Australia and its people. His most famous work is Gentleman Jack, Bushranger, which was published in 1911. The book tells the story of the bushranger Jack Donahue, who was active in the early 19th century. Delaney also wrote several other books, including The Story of Australia (1912), The Story of the Australian Bushrangers (1913), and The Story of the Australian Pioneers (1914). He died in Sydney in 1941.
