The Vortex Blaster by E. E. Smith
The Vortex Blaster is a science fiction novel by E. E. Smith, first published in 1960. It is the fourth book in the Lensman series. The novel follows the adventures of Kimball Kinnison, a Lensman from the Galactic Patrol. He is sent to the planet of Arisia to investigate a mysterious energy vortex that is threatening the entire galaxy. With the help of his allies, Kimball must find a way to stop the vortex before it destroys the universe. Along the way, he discovers a powerful new weapon, the Vortex Blaster, which could be the key to saving the galaxy. Kimball and his allies must battle against the forces of evil, including the evil Boskonians, who are determined to use the Vortex Blaster for their own nefarious purposes. In the end, Kimball must make a difficult decision that could determine the fate of the entire galaxy.
