E. Palmer Conner

E. Palmer Conner (1890-1962) was an American author and historian. He was born in San Francisco, California and attended the University of California, Berkeley. He was a member of the California Historical Society and the California Writers Club. Conner wrote several books about the history of California, including The Romance of the Ranchos (1939), which was a popular book about the history of the ranchos of California. He also wrote several other books about California, including California's Spanish Heritage (1941), California's Missions and Presidios (1942), and California's Spanish and Mexican Land Grants (1944). Conner was also a newspaper editor and publisher, and he wrote for several newspapers in California, including the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner. He was also a lecturer and a radio commentator.
