Edward Hall Alderson (1837-1906) was an English author and journalist. He was born in London and educated at King's College, London. He began his career as a journalist, writing for the Morning Post and other newspapers. He later became a prolific author, writing over 50 books, mostly on religious and historical topics. His works include The Life of Jesus (1876), The History of the English Church (1880), and The History of the Reformation (1883). He was also a contributor to the Encyclopaedia Britannica. He died in 1906 in London.
