Eliza Margaret Jane Humphreys (1850-1930) was an English author and poet. She was born in London and educated at home. She wrote several novels, including The Silent Woman (1904), which was a bestseller. She also wrote poetry, short stories, and essays. She was a member of the Society of Authors and the Royal Literary Fund. She was a strong advocate for women's rights and was a member of the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies. She was also a member of the Fabian Society. She died in 1930 in London.
