Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning is a short story by Elizabeth Madox Roberts, first published in 1924. It tells the story of a young girl, Mary, who is spending her first Christmas away from home. She is staying with her aunt and uncle in a small Kentucky town, and is feeling homesick and lonely. On Christmas morning, she wakes up to find a surprise waiting for her: a small, wooden box filled with gifts from her family.
