The Rabbit

The Rabbit is a novel by Elizabeth Madox Roberts, published in 1931. It tells the story of a young girl, Mary, who lives in a small Kentucky town in the early 1900s. Mary is an orphan, and she is taken in by a kindly old woman, Mrs. Brown, who lives in a cabin in the woods. Mrs. Brown is a healer, and she teaches Mary the ways of herbs and healing. Mary soon discovers that Mrs. Brown is a witch, and she is able to communicate with animals, including a white rabbit that lives in the woods. Mary and the rabbit become close friends, and the rabbit helps Mary to understand the power of nature and the importance of living in harmony with it. The novel follows Mary as she grows up and learns more about the power of nature and the importance of living in harmony with it. Along the way, she also learns about the power of love and friendship, and how they can help us to overcome our fears and find our true selves.
