The story revolves around Isaura, a beautiful and talented young woman who lives with her aunt in a small village. She falls deeply in love with a wealthy and handsome man named Harold, but their social differences make their relationship impossible. Despite this, they continue to see each other secretly until Harold's family discovers their affair and forces him to marry another woman of their class. Isaura is devastated by the loss of her lover and eventually dies of a broken heart.
