Ernest Whitney was an American author who wrote Legends of the Pike's Peak Region, a collection of stories about the history and folklore of the area around Pikes Peak in Colorado. The book was published around 1892. Little is known about Whitney's life, other than that he was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
