Ethel C. Pedley

Ethel C. Pedley (1859-1937) was an English author and playwright. She is best known for her children's book, The Story of the Treasure Seekers (1899), which was adapted into a play in 1901. She also wrote several other books for children, including The Wouldbegoods (1901), The New Treasure Seekers (1904), and The Phoenix and the Carpet (1904). Pedley was born in London and educated at the North London Collegiate School. She wrote for several magazines, including The Strand Magazine and The Girl's Own Paper. She was a member of the Society of Authors and the Dramatic Authors' Society.
