Ethel Colburn Mayne

Ethel Colburn Mayne (1867-1943) was an American author and poet. She was born in New York City and educated at the Packer Collegiate Institute. She wrote several books of poetry, including The Poems of Ethel Colburn Mayne (1902), The Poems of Ethel Colburn Mayne, Second Series (1908), and The Poems of Ethel Colburn Mayne, Third Series (1913). She also wrote several novels, including The House of the Seven Gables (1909), The House of the White Shadows (1910), and The House of the Golden Windows (1912). Her works were praised for their vivid descriptions and lyrical language. She was a member of the Poetry Society of America and the National League of American Pen Women.
