Federico García Lorca (1898-1936) was a Spanish poet, playwright, and theater director. He is considered one of the greatest Spanish poets of the 20th century and one of the most important figures in Spanish literature. He was born in Fuente Vaqueros, Granada, Spain, and studied law and literature at the University of Granada. Lorca's works are known for their passionate and intense themes, which often explore the depths of human emotion. He wrote several plays, including Blood Wedding, Yerma, and The House of Bernarda Alba, as well as numerous poems and short stories.
