Floyd Gibbons (1887-1939) was an American journalist and author. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended the University of Chicago. He began his career as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune in 1910. He was known for his daring reporting style, often going to great lengths to get the story. He covered the Mexican Revolution, World War I, and the Russian Revolution. He wrote several books, including The Red Napoleon (1927), The Red Knight of Germany (1927), and The Red Knight of the Air (1929). He was also a correspondent for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) and a commentator for the Mutual Broadcasting System. He died in 1939 in New York City.
