Frederick W. Browne was born in London, England in 1868. He was educated at the University of Cambridge and the Royal College of Music. He was a prolific composer, conductor, and music teacher. He wrote over 200 works, including operas, symphonies, chamber music, and songs. He was a professor of music at the Royal College of Music from 1895 to 1910. He was also a conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra from 1910 to 1914. He was a member of the Royal Philharmonic Society and the Royal Academy of Music. He died in London in 1945.
