Frederick Walker (1840-1875) was an English poet and artist. He was born in London and educated at the Royal Academy of Arts. He was a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, a group of artists and poets who sought to revive the style of painting and poetry of the Italian Renaissance. Walker's poetry was highly praised by his contemporaries, and he was considered one of the most important poets of the Victorian era. His works often focused on themes of nature, love, and death. He was also known for his illustrations, which often accompanied his poems. Walker died in 1875 at the age of 35. His works have been widely anthologized and continue to be studied and appreciated today.
