Frederick William Mole (1890-1962) was a British author and journalist. He was born in Dunbar, Scotland, and educated at the University of Edinburgh. Mole worked as a journalist for the Edinburgh Evening News and the Daily Express before becoming a full-time writer. He wrote several novels, including The House of the Seven Gables (1925), The House of the White Elephant (1927), and The House of the Golden Fleece (1929). He also wrote several non-fiction works, including The Story of Scotland (1930) and The Story of England (1932). Mole was a member of the Royal Society of Literature and the Society of Authors. He was also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He died in 1962 in London.
