Kragelill by George Borrow (1914)

Kragelill is a novel by George Borrow, first published in 1845. It tells the story of a young man, Kragelill, who is born into a poor family in a small village in Norway. He is determined to make something of himself and sets out on a journey to find his fortune. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a mysterious old man who gives him a magical ring. With the help of the ring, Kragelill is able to overcome obstacles and eventually finds success and wealth. However, he soon discovers that his newfound wealth comes with a price, as he is forced to confront the consequences of his actions. In the end, Kragelill learns the importance of humility and the value of friendship.
