Randolph Chester (1875-1937) was an American author and humorist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He began his writing career as a newspaper reporter and later wrote for magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and Collier's Weekly. Chester is best known for his humorous stories and novels, which often featured a character named "Uncle Wiggily Longears," a rabbit who went on adventures. His most famous works include Uncle Wiggily's Adventures (1910), Uncle Wiggily in the Country (1912), and Uncle Wiggily's Automobile (1915). Chester also wrote several non-fiction books, including The Story of the American Flag (1917) and The Story of the Constitution (1919). He was a popular lecturer and often spoke on topics related to American history and patriotism. Chester died in 1937 in New York City.
