Godfrey Ratcliffe Benson was a British clergyman and writer. He was born on November 10, 1881, and died on January 27, 1955. Benson served as the Dean of Canterbury from 1944 to 1956. He wrote several novels and non-fiction works, often drawing on his experiences in the Church of England.
