H. C. Beeching (1859–1919)

Herbert Charles Beeching (1859–1919) was an English author, journalist, and editor. He was born in London and educated at King's College, Cambridge. He was a prolific writer, producing over fifty books, including novels, biographies, and works of history. He was also a regular contributor to The Times, The Spectator, and other periodicals. He was the editor of The Graphic from 1891 to 1895, and of The Illustrated London News from 1895 to 1902. He was a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a member of the Royal Society of Literature. He died in London in 1919.
