Harold Frederic

Harold Frederic was an American journalist and novelist born on February 8, 1856, in Utica, New York. He is best known for his novels that explore the social and economic conditions of rural America during the late 19th century. His writing often dealt with themes of poverty, class struggle, and the decline of traditional values. Frederic's work was heavily influenced by his experiences as a journalist, where he reported on labor disputes and social issues in upstate New York. He died on October 5, 1898, at the age of 42.
