Harriet Myrtle (1837-1917) was an English author and illustrator. She was born in London and educated at home. She wrote and illustrated several books for children, including Adventure of a Kite (1870). Her other works include The Little Folks' Picture Book (1871), The Little Folks' Annual (1872), and The Little Folks' Picture Gallery (1873). She also wrote and illustrated several books of poetry, including The Poetry of Nature (1876). She was a member of the Society of Authors and the Society of Women Artists. She died in London in 1917.
