Helen Dawes Brown (1890-1962) was an American author and journalist. She was born in New York City and attended Barnard College. She wrote for the New York Times, the New York Herald Tribune, and the New Yorker. She wrote several books, including The American Way of Life (1930), The American Home (1932), and The American Woman (1935). She was a member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She was also a member of the National Women's Party and the League of Women Voters. She was an advocate for women's rights and was a strong supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment.
