Henry Drummond (1851–1897) was a Scottish evangelist, writer, and lecturer. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and educated at Edinburgh University. He was ordained as a minister in the Free Church of Scotland in 1876. Drummond was a popular speaker and lecturer, and his lectures on natural theology were widely acclaimed. He wrote several books, including Natural Law in the Spiritual World (1883), The Greatest Thing in the World (1890), and The Ascent of Man (1894). He also wrote several hymns, including "The Heavens Declare the Glory of God" and "The Lord is My Shepherd." Drummond was a strong advocate of Christian unity and was a leader in the ecumenical movement. He was a member of the World's Parliament of Religions in 1893 and was a founder of the World's Student Christian Federation. He died in 1897 in London, England.
