Miller Pierce was an American author and educator who wrote the Address to the First Graduating Class of Rutgers Female College in 1867. He was a professor at Rutgers College in New Jersey and was a strong advocate for women's education. He was a proponent of the idea that women should be given the same educational opportunities as men. He was also a member of the American Association of University Professors.
