Horace Bowne Fyfe

Horace Bowne Fyfe (1909-1995) was an American science fiction author and editor. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University, where he earned a degree in English. He began writing science fiction in the 1930s, and his first published story appeared in the magazine Astounding Science Fiction in 1937. He went on to write several novels and short stories, and edited several science fiction anthologies. He was a member of the Futurians, a group of science fiction writers and fans in the 1930s and 1940s. He was also a founding member of the Science Fiction Writers of America. Fyfe was known for his stories of space exploration and alien contact, and his work was praised for its realism and attention to detail. He died in 1995 at the age of 86.
