Hugh McHugh (1868-1932) was an American author and journalist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and later became a magazine editor. He wrote several books, including Get Next! (1905), a humorous novel about a young man's adventures in New York City. He also wrote several plays, including The Man Who Stayed at Home (1915). He was a popular lecturer and was known for his wit and humor. He died in 1932 in New York City.
