Irving Sidney Dix

Irving Sidney Dix (1890-1962) was an American author and journalist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He began his career as a journalist, writing for the New York Evening Post and the New York World. He later became a freelance writer, contributing to magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, and The American Magazine. Dix wrote several books, including The Great Adventure (1925), The Great Adventure: The Story of the World War (1927), and The Great Adventure: The Story of the World War II (1941). He also wrote several novels, including The Great Adventure: The Story of the World War III (1944) and The Great Adventure: The Story of the World War IV (1947). Dix was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Authors League of America. He died in 1962 in New York City.
