James Causey (1917-1962) was an American author and journalist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a correspondent for the Associated Press in Europe. After the war, he wrote for the New York Herald Tribune and the New York Post. Causey wrote several novels, including Competition (1955), The Biggest Game (1956), and The Biggest Prize (1958). He also wrote several non-fiction books, including The American Way of Life (1956) and The American Way of Politics (1959). He was a frequent contributor to magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and Collier's. Causey died in 1962 at the age of 45.
