Jennie Ellis Keysor

Jennie Ellis Keysor is an American author and illustrator of children's books. She was born in New York City in 1876 and grew up in the Bronx. She attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and graduated in 1898. She then went on to study at the Art Students League in New York City. Keysor wrote and illustrated many books for children, including The Little Red Hen (1909), The Three Bears (1910), and The Gingerbread Man (1911). She also wrote and illustrated several books of poetry, including The Little Book of Poems (1912) and The Poems of Childhood (1913). Keysor was a member of the Society of Illustrators and the National League of Pen Women. She was also a member of the Authors League of America. Keysor died in New York City in 1951.
