Set in Nazi-occupied Denmark during World War II, the story follows a young girl named Anett who helps her family hide Jewish refugees in their cellar. Anett's family is part of a larger community effort to protect Jews from Nazi soldiers. Despite the constant threat of discovery, Anett bravely assists by delivering food and supplies, communicating in whispers to maintain secrecy. As the soldiers intensify their search, Anett devises a plan to guide the refugees to safety using whispered directions from neighbors. The community's solidarity and courage enable the refugees to reach a boat bound for Sweden, symbolizing hope and resistance against oppression.
