John Lang is an Australian author and journalist. He has written several books, including the best-selling novel The Choke, which was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award. He has also written for The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Lang has a degree in English Literature from the University of Melbourne and a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Technology, Sydney. He lives in Melbourne with his wife and two children.
