Jorge Mario Bergoglio
Born on December 17, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ordained as a Jesuit priest in 1969. Served as Provincial of the Society of Jesus in Argentina from 1973 to 1979. Became Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires in 1992 and Archbishop in 1998. Elected Pope on March 13, 2013.
