Judith Marril is an award-winning author, editor, and publisher. She has written and edited books on a variety of topics, including history, science, and the environment. She is the author of the popular book, The Greenhouse Effect: A Primer on Climate Change, which has been translated into several languages. She is also the editor of the acclaimed anthology, The Best of the Best: A Collection of the Best Environmental Writing of the 20th Century. Marril has been a leader in the environmental movement for more than three decades. She has served on the boards of numerous environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club, the National Resources Defense Council, and the Environmental Defense Fund. She has also been a consultant to the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Bank. Marril has received numerous awards for her work, including the John Muir Award from the Sierra Club, the Rachel Carson Award from the National Resources Defense Council, and the Environmental Leadership Award from the Environmental Defense Fund. She is also a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship.
