Katharine Tynan

Katharine Tynan (1861–1931) was an Irish poet, novelist, and writer. She was born in Clondalkin, County Dublin, and educated at home. She wrote over 100 books, including novels, poetry, and biographies. Her best-known works include the novels The Story of a Modern Woman (1894) and The Red House (1902). She was a prolific poet, and her collections include The House of Life (1894), The Wind Blows Over (1902), and The Land of Dreams (1912). She was a friend of W. B. Yeats and a member of the Irish Literary Revival. She was also a suffragist and a pacifist.
