Leslie Thomas Stephen Hobhouse was a British politician and philosopher. He was born on January 11, 1864, and died on April 21, 1929. Hobhouse studied at Balliol College, Oxford, where he developed an interest in philosophy and politics. He became a prominent figure in the Liberal Party and served as a Member of Parliament from 1891 to 1906.
